Students in Dr. Shegog’s 8th period Senior class.

Computer Software Applications 2 (CSA2) is the senior-level Career and Technical Education course in the Information Technology program cluster.   The course is offered by the Chicago Public Schools - Department of College and Career Preparation.  In this course, students learn basic web design concepts and create simple web pages using HTML and web editors. Students complete individual and group projects to demonstrate their knowledge of the basic web design concepts. Students also learn career development skills, and they are given opportunities to participate in job-shadowing and internship experiences.

All CSA2 students are required to check this site each day and read the Students page for important links, Hot News section for class news, and all Recent Posts for the latest information and updates about assignments.

Students must read the Assignments posts and Bellringer page to retrieve their daily work.

TechNotes posts can help clarify the notes that students record in class…not substitute for them.

Please note: All assignments must be saved in the appropriate electronic folder in FirstClass each day. Students must adhere to all due dates. Extra time will be given for projects and special assignments. You will receive reduced points for late work!

You may contact me at anytime by email at: bfshegog@cps.edu.

Welcome Back!

Hello and welcome back to school!

I hope that you had a fun-filled summer!  Get ready for new challenges, as you embark on your senior year.  I have great expectations for my students, and I believe that all students can excel!   Your desire, dedication, and determination will play key roles in your success in this class.  I will be with your every step of the way, lending a hand (or bend an ear) to help you along the way.  To paraphrase our president, Barack Obama, “I am willing to extend a hand…if you are willing to reach for it.”

Let’s make this a great year!
