Checkpoint for: March 31 - April 4, 2008

 CSA2 - Periods 1, 3, & 8 

Weekly Goals:  “I CAN”

  • I can define terminology in Tutorial1 and 2 of the text.
  • I can update my daily log form, Cornell Notes, and bell ringers forms.
  • I can record daily notes in my spiral notebook.
  • I can create a basic web page, using the concepts that I learned this quarter.
  • I can use the correct file naming convention to identify all of my files.
  • I can save my files in the appropriate storage locations:   jump drive, email, and online folders.  No excuses will be accepted for lost work.  Have a backup system!
  • I can organize all of my work in my 2-pocket folder.
  • I can take notes on oral presentations given by my peers.
  • I can work in cooperative groups (or with my tech buddy) to complete team projects.

 Bell Ringers:   (DUE EACH DAY - 7 min. after the bell rings!) 

  1. Type Bell Ringer answers in your Bell Ringer Form for the week. 
  2. You may also use the bell ringer questions in your Cornell Notes for the week.  Cornell Notes Form will be due every Friday, unless otherwise stated.

Monday - Thursday - See board for directions.

Friday - Print your Cornell Notes form for this week.  Submit to teacher today.  Print one for your folder also.
Computer Lesson/Activities:

Projects for the Week: 

  • Presentations - Tutorial #2.3 - FrontPage
    (Tutorial 2.1-2.3 - Sunny Morning Products webpage Get Tutorial #3 from instructor.   Study it for homework. 
  • Get jump drive and folders checked -due  Friday, 3/28 - late credit by Wed. 4/2.
  • Print Cornell Notes, Bellringer Form, Daily Logs for Weeks 20-26.  Submit to teacher - by Friday, 3/28.  
  •  Save your Bobby Jackson Webpage Tribute to teacher’s jump drive - by Friday, 3/28 - Late credit by Wed. 4/2.
  • Complete 30 Week Self-Evaluation Form .  Due by Tuesday, 4/1/08.Group  Meetings - Technology Showcase and
    Big Brother-Big Sister Technology Day events
    Begin preparations for culminating activities - dates to be determined).

MISC. TASKS:

  1. Update your weekly Cornell Notes
  2. Complete your Daily Log and Bellringer forms.  
  3. Write notes in your spiral notebook every day.  Use 1 page per week.  Write the Week number and dates for each page.  For example: Week 28:   Mar 31-Apr 4, 2008

             Monday - 3/31 - Prepare for project presentation/review for test.
             Tuesday - 4/1

 **REMINDER:   Save all work (including Group work) in the appropriate storage locations:   jump drive, email, and online folders.  For web pages, print the actual web page (page you see in the browser) and the source coding  (HTML coding).

  • I can update my daily log form, Cornell Notes, and bell ringers forms.
  • I can record daily notes in my spiral notebook.
  • I can edit an image, using the concepts that I learned  this quarter in Photoshop.
  • I can use the correct file naming convention to identify all of my files.
  • I can save my files in the appropriate storage locations:   jump drive, email, and online folders.  No excuses will be accepted for lost work.  Have a backup system!
  • I can organize all of my work in my 2-pocket folder.

Bell Ringers:   (Should be completed 7 min. after the bell rings!  Record all bell ringers on the Bell Ringer Form for the week.  Turn in your Bell Ringer Form on Fridays or when requested by the teacher.)

  • Print Cornell Notes, Bellringer Form, Daily Logs for Weeks 20-27.  Submit to teacher - by Friday, 3/28 - late credit by 4/2.  
  •  Save your Bobby Jackson  Tribute (PowerPoint and Sympathy Card/Flyer)  to teacher’s jump drive - by Wednesday, 3/26 - late credit by 4/2.
